Belarus Sustainable Energy Finance Facility (BelSEFF)

The Belarus Sustainable Energy Finance Facility (BelSEFF) is a USD 50 million credit line initiated by the EBRD. BelSEFF provides dedicated credit lines to Belarusian participating banks for on-lending to private and public Belarusian companies. The Facility finances energy efficiency and small-scale renewable energy projects in eligible sectors.

Small private hydro power plant was launched in Slonim district

25 July 2017

On 13 July 2017 an opening ceremony of mini-hydro power plant with a capacity of 200 kW on Issa river in Albertin settlement of Slonim district was held. The HPP was developed by a private LLC “Hydropark” and co-financed by BelSEFF facility. The event was attended by representatives of Grodno regional and Slonim district executive committees, OJSC “Belinvestbank”, regional and district branches of Belenergo, construction management department of Slonim district, Dnieper-Bug water route (the general contractor), Paper factory “Albertin”, municipal housing and utilities company and energy supervisory authority. BelSEFF project manager Vassily Tarasevich was among those who delivered brief complementary speeches.

The construction of solar PV plant in Kostukovichi district will be financed through BelSEFF program

24 July 2017

Company “IEC Solar Energy” carries out one of the significant investment projects in renewable sector in Kostukovichi district. The project will be co-financed from BelSEFF credit line through OJSC “Belinvestbank”. In the context of this project IEC Solar Energy in cooperation with Kostukovichi district executive committee will hold a seminar for the public on 27 July 2017. The seminar will start at 10:45 a.m. in the meeting hall of Kostukovichi district executive committee at 93, Leninskaya str., Kostukovichi.

Belinvestbank joins the BelSEFF programme

27 September 2016

The BelSEFF team is pleased to announce that another reputable Belarusian financial institution joined the facility. The relevant agreement was signed between the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and OJSC "Belinvestbank" on 27 September 2016. The credit line in the amount of EUR 8 mil is a part of Belinvestbank privatisation plan agreed between the government of Belarus and the EBRD in May 2015.

An EBRD visit to Uniflex, the leading Belarusian flexoprinting house

On 3 June 2016 an EBRD mission visited Uniflex, CJSC, a company specialised in full cycle flexoprinting  located in Gatovo, a suburb of Minsk. The company provides full range of services related to design and production of flexible packaging, vacuum pouches and self-adhesive labels. The firm delivers innovative packaging solutions for food, chemical, cosmetics and other industries developing and improving flexoprinting and digital technologies.
